The goal of the administration and staff of Burlington City High School is to develop students who are academically prepared to succeed, who will be competitive in a changing global economy, and who will interact socially and politically in a manner that displays respect for the rights of others in a diverse Society.
We believe our school has a significant purpose, which is to serve the needs of our community. We do so by educating our students in a manner that allows them to realize their full potential and become productive members of the community. To achieve this, we promise that all students regardless of ethnicity, economic status or gender will receive an education that is thorough, efficient and excellent. Our curriculum, therefore, is designed to broaden their vision, to acknowledge their diversity and to demonstrate understanding and respect for all people.
Burlington City is an urban-suburban community in Burlington County, located on the Delaware River about twenty miles from Philadelphia, and seventeen miles from Trenton, the State Capital. The city's population of approximately 12,000 is made up of people of various ethnic backgrounds. Most of the adult population has attended high school, and some have completed various types of post-secondary education. Various occupations are represented, with some individuals in business, technical and professional jobs
Burlington City High School is a six-year secondary school that includes grades seven through twelve. Grades nine through twelve have been accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education, and also by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools
