About Us:
Grain Valley High School is a comprehensive four-year high school with approximately 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12. Grain Valley High School offers 11 Advanced Placement courses: Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, English Literature and Composition, English Language and Composition, European History, United States Government and Politics, United States History, Psychology, Music Theory, and Studio Art.
Advanced Placement is an open-enrollment program supported with preparatory, advanced-level courses in all content areas at the lower grade levels. All students who take Advanced Placement courses take the exam upon completion of the course per the school philosophy and enrollment procedures and expectations.
The role of the high school activities program is to teach, promote, and build character and skills for all of those involved. Involvement in the activities program assists students in becoming high-functioning adults who can succeed in society by using the qualities promoted by the individual programs, coaches, teammates, and the overall activities program philosophy. Grain Valley High School is a member of the Missouri River Valley Conference and has been the overall conference champion for 6 years running.
