The mission of Houston High School is to maintain high academic standards by challenging students to master skills that will enable them to become productive members of society.
About Us:
Houston High School, established in 1989, is located in the Shelby County suburban community of Germantown. The 45- acre campus adjoins a 25-acre city park and houses approximately 1890 students in grades 9-12.
Houston is a comprehensive high school, fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and holds membership in the following: NASSP, NACAC, SACAC, The College Board, and TSSAA. The student body represents diverse ethnic, racial, religious, and socioeconomic groups. The administration and staff consist of 90 certified personnel, and over 80 percent have advanced degrees (masters or higher).
