About Us:
Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School is the premier two-year college in the state of Kansas.
Founded in 1928, HCC encompasses a beautiful and spacious campus in the heart of the city of Hutchinson. More than 16,000 Kansans are touched each year by the educational offerings at HCC, with more than 8,000 enrolled students in 2006 and another 8,325 individuals participating in the wide variety of non-credit and business and industry offerings at the college.
Top-notch academic and vocational programs are the trademark of HCC. The College offers more than 64 areas of study, leading to Associate's in Arts, Applied Science and Science degrees, in addition to a wide-range of vocational and technical one- and two-year certificate programs. HCC has a great honors program as well, for those seeking an additional academic challenge.
HCC graduates can opt to immediately enter the workforce, as highly-trained, immediately employable individuals, or transfer onto a four-year institution, well prepared, and with a degree that is respected around the state.
