History:

Lake Olympia Middle School was the eighth middle school opened by the fast growing Fort Bend ISD in 1992. With 187,800 square feet of space, the school opened with an enrollment of 600 students. The campus was designed around a central "main street" concept. Level one includes a common area core which houses the administrative offices, the library, food service, the commons and stage, two gymnasiums equipped with locker rooms, special education, art, industrial technology and computer labs.

The eighth grade and some 7th grade classes and a science wing are located downstairs. Upstairs is home to the sixth grade, a Spanish classroom, and 3 computer labs. The school's other features include a weight room, football field, 3 softball fields, four tennis courts and the KRAL-TV studio.

Mission:

It is our mission to enable every student to think creatively, to identify and solve meaningful problems, to communicate and work well with others, and to develop the basis of factual knowledge and skills. Our students will develop the capacity to lead healthful lives and become active, contributing citizens.
