Pequannock Township High School was established in 1956 and serves a student body of 750 students. Located in suburban Northern New Jersey, the school has strong ties to the community with many of our parents having attended the same schools as their children.
Pequannock Township High School has increased the rigor and relevance in all content areas and has made a concerted effort to focus on the Essential Skills as outlined in the Common Core Standards to meet advanced levels of proficiency on the PARCC, PSAT, SAT and ACT. To support these efforts, PTHS employs the use of “walk-throughs” to continually monitor classroom practices, protocols and instruction. The recent addition of department supervisors provides the teaching staff a more structured support system designed to improve instruction.
PTHS strives to offer a world-class education for all of its students. We encourage all of our students to pursue a course of study that will constitute an appropriate intellectual challenge in order to prepare them for the next steps of their education. Along with our extensive Advanced Placement Program, PTHS offers a wide variety of elective course offerings including Forensic Science, Engineering, Robotics, Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, Concert Band, Environmental Science, Business, and more.
