Our faculty is motivated to instruct our students through approaches that will prepare them to be lifelong learners and ethical, responsible citizens of the 21st century. They are trained to use best practices for instruction that are further enhanced by cutting edge technology. The majority of our faculty have earned advanced degrees, and 10 of our teachers are National Board Certified Teachers (the largest percentage in the state of Pennsylvania).
Quaker Valley High School has a long history of accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools, we have been awarded a National Blue Ribbon of Excellence, and our model counseling program is the first high school program in the state to receive RAMP status by the American School Counselors Association (ASCA). This type of recognition speaks to the quality of the programs offered in our school. One such program is our Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. High enrollment in our AP courses, coupled with our students’ outstanding performance on the AP exams have led to our school being consistently recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the “Best High Schools” in the United States and number one in the region. Other programs such as college dual-enrollment, Cisco Academy, Pre-AP, Carnegie Learning, SSLC, entrepreneurship, and award winning arts and athletic programs (to name but a few) also support a holistic approach to education that is geared toward 21st century success in college and the world of work.
