South Rowan High School, home of the Raiders, is located off Highway 152 on Patterson Street in China Grove. Our facility was opened in 1961 to students in grades 10-12 from China Grove, Landis, and parts of Kannapolis. In the Fall of 1990, 9th graders were added to SRHS. Our students fondly refer to South Rowan High School as "South".
Currently, South is home to approximately 1000 students in grades 9-12. We have a dedicated staff who consistently set high standards for our students both academically and socially.
At South, our students have the opportunity to experience a variety of programs including our JROTC Academy, Fire Academy, and Vocational Education in conjunction with rigorous core content courses.
