South Stanly High School endeavors to help students reach maximum potential and become productive citizens.
The Stanly County School System requires 28 units for High School graduation including 4 English, 3 math, 3 sciences, 3 social studies, Health and P.E., 1 vocational unit and 11 electives. College Prep students must also pass two units of the same foreign language. South Stanly uses block scheduling in which students take four ninety-minute classes each semester for a total of eight units per year.
