About Us:
Tierra del Sol Middle School is situated between a Nature Conservancy and Lindo Lake Park in the East County of San Diego. Located in the suburban environment of Lakeside, TdS houses approximately 780 sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The core curriculum includes three years of mathematics, science, language arts, physical education and social studies, with elective choices for students in the upper grades. Extracurricular activities are included during lunchtime and after school by our ASB and a variety of athletic opportunities are available as well after school. Our LATER (Lakeside After-School Tutoring, Enrichment, and Recreation) program provides services for students in our Language Arts and Math Academies, as well as Homework Clubs for tutoring help and organized activities from 2:00-6:00 PM daily.
Academic achievement and good citizenship are emphasized and rewarded each quarter for inclusion on the Principal’s List, Honor Roll and Citizenship Honor Roll. Students showing achievement by being named on these lists are recognized each quarter during a “Principals’ Breakfast”.
