All Turlock High School students will be taught grade-level curriculum every day through instruction that emphasizes time-on task, alignment to Content Standards, and instructional effectiveness within a safe environment.
As we prepare today’s student for tomorrow’s success, it is the vision of THS that all students will graduate with the academic, technological, and social skills needed to become self-reliant, positive, productive citizens, and life-long learners.
Turlock High School (THS) is a comprehensive high school located in the heart of the northern San Joaquin Valley. It is a 45-acre campus in the midst of a long established residential neighborhood, consisting of 130 classrooms positioned in and around an array of athletic, agricultural, business, and vocational complexes. It is situated in an agrarian community and serves two public elementary school districts in addition to a number of private and parochial schools that exist in the surrounding community. Turlock High School currently serves a socially and ethnically diverse student body of 2,250+.
Turlock High School is a member of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and received a six year accreditation during the Spring 2000 W.A.S.C. visit. There are one hundred eleven teachers, five counselors, seventy support staff members, and five administrators who serve a population that reflects the following ethnic and racial backgrounds: 51% white; 40% Hispanic; 2% black; and 7% other. Over twenty-one different languages/dialects are spoken and approximately 18% of our students are classified as limited-English proficient.
